IMPORTANT: As of July 2026, FLC Social development is suspended, not permanently. It will resume by mid-2027. We're sorry for the delay.
When can I make my page? You can start making your page shortly before FLC Social releases in public beta. Check the FLC YouTube page (posts) to see when this happens. Making a page will be FREE, but additional features require a subscription to FLC Plus or Premium.
What's moderation going to be like? Super and FLC will monitor users' activity and take down any infringing content.
How can I use FLC Social? FLC Social allows you to make Posts, a bit like Facebook. You can add a poll, image, link or emoji to your Post. FLC Watch will merge with it so you can submit and watch videos. You can also share files (via Super FileShare).
Due to server limitations, only three files can be hosted at a time. To view all files, including hidden ones, please go to Super Takeout.

This means you won't be able to play FLC games — such as FLC's Basics Classic — for the foreseeable future. We understand this is going to cause a lot of disruption and disappointment, but it's the only thing we can do right now with the current situation involving age checks and other controversial updates. However, FLC will post occasional gameplay videos — along with making more Scratch games — to make up for this. We are really sorry about this.
Article 120
By Fluorescent Light Collection
21 July 2026 7:04AM BST
It scans newly-posted comments and checks against FLC's list of banned words and phrases to automatically do two things at the same time: Delete the comment to stop others from seeing it, and Notify the author of the comment about what's happened and why.
Since it's still an experiment, innocent comments may be flagged by the tool. Don't worry — FLC will be monitoring the system and can easily undo any mistakes it makes during its trial run.
The initial trial run will take place from 21 July 2026 to 31 August 2026 to see how well it works. During this time, the system may flag innocent comments in error, and FLC will attempt to revert these mistakes if they happen. After the trial run, FLC will either fully implement it or conduct a 2nd trial run, depending on the results of the first run.
Note: if your comment is accidentally flagged and FLC doesn't notice within 24 hours, please attempt to post the comment again, maybe altering the wording slightly to see if it gets flagged again or not. However, FLC will be checking comments more often during this run, so the chances of this happening are slim.
Thank you for your co-operation while we test this new system.

If you haven't seen the news already, this impersonator has now been terminated. See Article 117 for additional info.
As you may know, MexicanChih is an amazing content creator (don't give up btw). Recently, a stupid person used his profile picture and username in a lazy attempt to impersonate him. We understand that MexicanChih isn't feeling too great right now, so we're here to fix that! MexicanChih, why don't you check out my games? Or maybe just read the news all day? It's up to you.
Anyways, back on topic, the impersonator is still out there – please report them if you see their channel. The more reports, the better the chance of justice!
Thanks.

(To those who watched the introduction video and looked at the calendar, sorry for not doing the FLC Music logo or Roblox quitting info on time! I've squeezed both of them in to this article.)
Planning day! Get FLC HQ looking amazing for the birthday party since there'll be limited-to-no time tomorrow. Get signs printed and stuck, mess tidied up, and the garden ready for attendees. Don't forget about the core of the party – the PowerPoint presentation!
Spooky day! (although I feel like the ghosts are already here.) No idea what's happening between the morning and trick-or-treating. And when it's time for trick-or-treating, set up that live stream and collect my chocolate and sweets.
A BIG day for me! Staying at my friend's house for the morning — returning to FLC HQ at 1PM. Doors open at 2PM, party starts at 3PM. Monitor the party and get clips for a party roundup.
I promise that's my real birthday! Before sch**l, unbox my presents and celebrate. After sch**l, celebrate a bit more!
Christmas Eve live stream! No idea what I'm doing, but possibly playing games and/or getting ready for Christmas live.
HO HO HO! Santa's arrived with my Christmas presents and a vlog opportunity. Open my presents from parents at home, then visit grandparents to open more presents. Then, go to friend's house and open MORE presents! Stay for a night or two.
LCF92 won't be happy — NO trains at all. But it's a good excuse for a Munzee session!
We'll be on the borderline! (Tame Impala reference.) Get the New Year Display (NYD) set up and ready.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Celebrate, then end the stream and think of what's next. FLC Social anticipated full release?
Anyway, that's it for now. I hope it all goes out exactly as pla- wait... am I missing something?
That's right, it's the FLC MUSIC new logo (for FLC26) and information on me quitting ROBLOX!
Due to the way Super News Articles are designed, I can't attach an image. However, just go to the Services section of my website and scroll down to FLC Music to see the new logo! I worked hard on it (I think).
Here's the info you've been wanting for ages. Basically, I'll be pulling the plug as soon as the new update comes out and I can't use the old UI no more. I might make emergency updates to popular games if people report them. A farewell live stream MIGHT be held, depending on when. Also, I've decided to remove ROBLOX from my birthday party due to lawsuits and investigations regarding safety concerns. Minecraft and Scratch rock!
Alright, I think that's i- oh... not again! I've missed ANOTHER thing!
It's only quick, though. The "surprise" that I've been hyping up for a while? In my next few videos, I'm going to be putting small clues in on what it could be. In one of them, if you look close enough, you'll be able to see what it is! But I'll hide it really deep so you don't leak it TOO early. Hint: It contains plastic parts.
Now can we end the article? Oh, we can. See you later!

Headings and sub-headings have been made easier to read. However, these changes won't last long as FLC26 will change everything. Think of it as a temporary pre-FLC26 tweak.

That's right. The game we've been waiting for is finally HERE!. Here's what made it possible:
Actually Working CFL System: You can now collect all 7 CFLs. Once you've done that, you head outside to win.
Winning Screen: Brand new and slightly deceptive (unless you read it all).
How you win: We've changed how you win. In the planned version, you would hand the CFLs to FLC. A simple script would've been used to clear all CFLs from your inventory and enable a winning screen. In the final version, you head outside (with FLC chasing you faster) to trigger the winning screen.
The CFL System: Uses a variable to track your CFL count and update the on-screen UI accordingly. Once the value reaches 7, the UI turns green and FLC starts to go faster. The winning screen can then be triggered. Don't attempt to get the counter to 8 or more though...
Your Help: Support from fans, friends and family have made FLC's Basics full release possible. I cannot thank you enough.
A bit of AI magic: ChatGPT has helped with some tasks, like scripting assistance.
How can I play?
Go to my page (FluorescentLight9) on Roblox. Head to Creations and find FLC's Basics Classic. Tap "Play" to start!

My fellow citizens of the FLC community,
It is with immense gravitas and profound admiration that I address you today on a matter of distinguished consequence—an occasion marked not merely by celebration, but by the ceremonial acknowledgment of exceptional digital merit. After exhaustive deliberation, and with due adherence to the rigorous evaluative standards enshrined within our most esteemed traditions, it brings me great honour to proclaim that the First Place Laureate of the FLC Shoutouts of the Month is none other than the incomparable MexicanChih.
This accolade, while routinely awarded on a cyclical basis, is by no means trivial in its significance. Rather, it represents the zenith of communal recognition—a crystallisation of the myriad contributions, nuanced engagements, and charismatic articulations rendered by one individual who has, with unparalleled consistency, demonstrated a superlative commitment to the social and memetic fabric of our collective digital experience.
Indeed, the trajectory of MexicanChih’s influence throughout the duration of the month has not been subtle nor fleeting; it has been, in the fullest sense, monumental. His efforts have pervaded the discourse with a brilliance reminiscent of the Renaissance polymaths—deftly weaving insight, humour, and an almost preternatural sense of timing into a tapestry of interactions that uplift, amuse, and resonate.
Let there be no doubt: this victory is not the byproduct of mere popularity, nor the ephemeral whims of trend. It is the direct consequence of intellectual dexterity, rhetorical prowess, and an indefatigable dedication to communal enrichment. His triumph stands as a beacon—a paragon of digital citizenship—an exemplar to which all may aspire, but few shall attain.
May this honour serve not only as a testament to past excellence, but as an enduring mandate for continued distinction. And may it inspire future generations of participants to emulate the virtues embodied so magnificently by our honouree.
On behalf of the people, the moderators, and the invisible algorithms that guide us, I extend our collective commendation. We salute you, MexicanChih—venerated architect of engagement, sovereign of the shoutout, and, as of this moment, the rightful bearer of the FLC Crown.
Godspeed, and may your notifications remain ever plentiful. Click here to watch the promoted video now! There's some profanity.

Notice: This article introduces 1st generation standard article text. It has since been replaced with an even easier-to-read 2nd generation.
Metro is a design for streams, apps and FLC's Basics.
This new theme improves the FLC experience and adds a touch of modern-ness (is that a word?).
You can see previews below!
Here's early standard article text, used from 2021 to 2023. This has been deprecated and new articles use a lighter, easier-to-read version.
This is a preview of 1st generation standard article text. It was designed to be easy to read in large amounts and had a compact design to use less web space.
This is the 2nd generation standard article text, which is now even easier to read. Take a look at Article 109 for more info! Funfact: When a new generation of standard article text comes out (or any other type of text), ALL articles are updated at the same time!
Finally, here's Ion! While this may look cool, I cancelled it because it didn't get any use. Bit of a shame...
Ah, back to the July theme. There's actually no official name for it, so it's often called the July theme! Anyways, you'll start to see Metro for stream cards and FLC's Basics (Testing map first, then Classic Remastered). Classic will not get Metro until 2025. Ion has been cancelled, originally planned to roll out from December 2024.
Anyways, hopefully you like the look of these new themes!

For the first time ever, an actually GOOD game is coming your way. FLC's Basics Plus will include loads of new exciting content, including a new character, Wind Blaster! Wind Blaster will do what his name does and blow wind down the halls! Very similar to Cloudy Copter from the Baldi's Basics series.
As of writing this article, you can't play... yet. I'm using Unity to make this game, so hopefully I can get it on more platforms (although the original game is on Roblox, so it's basically on any device you have). When the game comes out, you just need to pay a small fee before you can play. Speaking of the fee,
Sadly, good games cost money. That's why I'm charging a very small fee to get the game. However, once you've paid it, you can download it as many times as you want to all of your devices!
For PC, I'm using Steam. This allows you to add the game to your Steam account so you can transfer it to all of your computers, and using their handy Borrow feature, let your friends play too!
However, for mobile, I'm using Apple App Store. With an iCloud.com account, you can get your purchase saved to it so that all your other iPhones, iPads and iPod touches can have the game on them for no additional cost. Pay once, play whenever, wherever!
Considering that I have school to deal with, and that I like to spend most of my weekends with friends, I cannot guarantee a certain date. However, I do bet that I will be about halfway done by Christmas 2024. Please be patient!
Peace!

Use like a million extension wires with a big one at the end.
Hire your local electrician to install a B22 fixture for a good CFL.

And we're working on getting sockets down there.

19 December 2022 4:28PM GMT - wow this is old!
Edited on 27 May 2025 to reflect changes to FLC Watch policies
FLC is working on a new video-watching service that will make YouTube a thing of the past. Say hello to FLC Watch, a site where you can upload your own videos and watch FLC videos directly. It's going to be available as a desktop app, website and mobile app.
Considering how bad YouTube has got with the ads, like 2 20 second unskippable ads before a video, and how repetitive the ads really are, FLC Watch might be the YouTube everyone's wanted.
Google, who owns YouTube, won't be very pleased when they see people leaving YouTube in favour of FLC Watch. They may even try to file a lawsuit against FLC Watch, but FLC's mercury-vapour powers will probably stop them.
It's honestly great to know that YouTube will be a thing of the past, and people won't have to deal with ads.
In fact, if everyone does move to FLC Watch, I might actually move entirely too. I just hope my lovely subscribers will follow me too.
One feature I like about FLC Watch is that you can migrate your Google account to a FLC account, and migrate your YouTube channel to a FLC Watch page.
So, get ready for a better YouTube by next year!
Best regards,
FLC
